The Power of Your Subconscious Mind









Being aware of the influence of your subconscious mind is vital to your personal development as you move into the realm of manifesting change in your life.

You can change your mind, you can change what you are thinking about - but you can not, by your conscious volition, change your subconscious mind.

You can consciously decide what you want to happen, and act on the decision, but if your subconscious does not agree with your conscious decision, you have a conflict of interest.

Like it or not, your subconscious mind is going to win, it will not let you succeed!

What is worse - you won't even know about it. Despite your determination and best efforts, your plans just don't seem to work.


WHY? (Why Me!).

Who is this person who is fighting your decisions, well actually it is you. Somewhere in your forgotten past, buried below your conscious level of thoughts are hidden traumas, stuff you probably don't know about, or want to know about.

These traumas manifest as negative emotions, which are blocks to your success. Emotions such as :- anger, sadness, aggression, rejection, self doubt, fear and guilt, etc. etc.

From the time of your birth, and in particular, over the first seven years of your life, you have built behavior patterns which you take for granted. You could say that you have been programmed.

Each time an unexpected situation outside your control crops up your subconscious reacts to protect you.

Now you subconscious does not have a sense of reasoning or logic, it simply reacts and wires up according to the given situation, in particular a fight or flight situation.

Your subconscious does not wait around to analyze the situation, when it perceives a threat, either physical or emotional, it simply reacts to protect you, thus you end up with a new behavior pattern.

Thus your subconscious programming - your behavior patterns, do not have to make sense. They are a product of your reactions to your experiences and environment.

When these experiences are negative, you react! It is as if your subconscious mind blew a fuse, or short circuited! - Zap!

Your bodies energy system has been disrupted and you have developed another irrational fear or phobia.

Unfortunately we have no say in the process - it just happens.

As a result we end up with a whole raft of fears and phobias which if unchecked will define the type of life we lead, (or don't lead)!

How many people have you met who let their lives be governed by their fears?

They don't like nature because of a fear of creepy crawlies (or whatever), are afraid of heights, have problems with relationships because of any number of fears.

Thats the way they have ended up being wired up, and the sad part is that they accept this behavior as being themselves, ie: "thats the way it is".

Well, that is not themselves, that is their behavior patterns, their subconscious ruling their lives.



The Bodies Energy System.

In the name of keeping things simple, I refer to the body mind connections as - the bodies energy system. This all encompassing term covers everything from measurable nerve impulses right through to acupuncture meridians.

It also covers the mind - body - health connections. We are all only too aware of physical reactions to emotions, ie : worry, anxiety and fear can all be felt in the body as pain or discomfort.

This is where the bodies energy system shows up as physical symptoms. However it goes much deeper than this. The hidden traumas and behavior patterns (the zaps), also manifest themselves as ailments and propensity toward various diseases.

I repeat : not only does your subconscious mind rule your behavior patterns, it is also a determining factor in your state of health.

Now, to take this one step further - when you put your plans into action, you are projecting your desires to the Universe in order to attract your goals.

But, what happens if your subconscious does not know (or agree with), your goals.

There is a block to your success! A long forgotten disruption to your bodies energy system, a zap, is standing between you and your goals.


Feelings vs. Emotions.

An emotion is a mental and physiological state (or reaction), associated with a wide variety of feelings, thoughts, and behaviours, whilst a feeling refers to the subjective experience of that emotion.

Emotions are when we react to any given situation, real or imagined, whether from fear or pleasure. Our feelings are what results from our emotions ie: our flight or fight response is our emotional reaction to a threat, being afraid is how we feel about it.

When we think about something, for instance, think about someone you love, your response is an emotional response, the emotion of love, which gives rise to warm feelings of care.

Your emotions are interconnected with your thought processes. Negative emotions, particularly anger are stimulated simply by thinking about an event or a situation, which brings us to the relevence of the subconscious here. Your subconscious mind is determining what you have an emotional response to and what not.

Of course you can avoid an emotional response by simply not thinking about the subject in question, which eventually is going to narrow down what you can think about or not.

Whilst it is nice to walk around only thinking nice positive thoughts, we do live in the real world.

Stuff happens!

We do interact with other not so positive people!

So unless we do something about what causes us to react negatively, negative emotions are a fact of life.



Actually, your Subconscious mind is there to Help.

Now to change or rewire these programmed behaviors which are blocking your success, we are going to have find a way to build pathways around the conscious/subconscious boundary.

Short of spending many hours in therapy we need to find methods to solve emotional problems as they come up. After all, if we are to become Master of Our Lives, we need our subconscious mind working for us, not against us.

Surely the primary goal of being Master of Your Life is to be happy - which is freedom from negative emotions.

After a lifetime of taking on board (and trying) just about all the therapies and methods of reprogramming the subconscious mind, just three stand out. These are :

  • Alpha meditation

The beauty of each of these, is that all three can be learnt and practiced as effective do it yourself techniques.

If you learn and diligently apply these three techniques, in particular EFT, I promise you - you will Be Master of Your Life. This is where, with practice, you attain mastery and free your self from your programming.

The point is - that you can consciously make a difference to the way you are "wired", this is who you are being in control of what you are.
