Using Your Intuition

At times we all shows signs of having some sort of sixth sense, our intuition.Whether it is a feeling, a hunch, an impression, instinct or insight, we all have it. Sometimes we are not sure whether we are simply imagining something, or getting an intuitive "flash". This "flash" seems to be a quick and ready insight seemingly independent of previous experiences. However there is a fine line between your imagination and intuition, they are different, and you can learn to discern one from the other. Imagination is under your control, and is related the the creative process, whereas intuitive insights usually happen as the result of asking a question, and for the briefest period the answer (almost always correct), flashes through our mind. I say "through", because this is what usually happens, it is only momentary. Intuitive insight can be somewhat illusive. In my Mind Power chapter, I will show you how to harness your imagination as a formidable force for making things happen, because when properly directed, your imagination is enormously powerful.
Every now and than we seem to get little "premonitions", (usually ignored), ie:
"I just knew that was going to happen." "I was just thinking exactly that the other day" "I was just saying to so and so the other day ....". I call receiving these little premonitions "listening to the whispers", because that is what they are, they are, our intuition working for us.Sharpening your intuitive abilities is simply a matter of ongoing awareness. Being aware of these little premonitions as they happen tells you just how they work for you.
When you are about to make a major decision, and it doesn't 'feel' right, although the facts support it, do you go ahead or not? Do you listen to the whispers or go with the logic? Whether you feel something is going to happen, or you see something is going to happen, or you simply know something is going to happen, or know how it should be, depends upon your
personality type,
because we each have a different method of perceiving our intuitive impulses according to our personality type. How much weight you give your intuitive insight when making decisions depends on your success rate at following your intuition. I know people who invariably get intuitive (correct) answers to problems and who instinctively make the opposite (wrong) decision, (and who are honest enough to admit it). Making decisions is easy when all the facts are known and outcomes are clear, in fact they are not so much decisions as choices. If only life was that simple! The reality is, we are dealing with unknowns much of the time, so our intuition has to play at least some part in our decisions. Even if you decide not to make a decision - that in itself is a decision! The decision making process is half information processing, the cognitive aspect, and half either guesswork or intuition depending on how you view it. The point is, that if your guesses are right more than fifty percent of the time - you have something extra going for you. It is this something extra we recognise as our intuitive abilities. I am steering clear of any reference to "psychic abilities" in this course. However here is a short list of further references :-
